Experience MattersMi-Tech is an experienced designer of aerial, buried and underground cable placements, ranging from small line extensions to $4.5 million projects. We have completed numerous routine and specific project orders totaling thousands of miles. These projects have included: 20,000+ miles of fiber optic cable design, over 2,000 miles of conduit projects and thousands of copper design work orders, both aerial and buried.
As the telecommunications industry continues to grow, and power companies begin to explore new energy resources; Mi-Tech has proven itself a valuable “partner”, who is ready for the next step.
Many of our clients, have also taken advantage of our diverse portfolio. With leaders in Design, Right-of-Way, Survey, Drafting, and GIS; Mi-Tech has the unique opportunity to take jobs from beginning to end.
Our History Data-Tel Communication Services, Inc (Data-Tel) was formed in December of 1985 doing outside plant engineering (OSP) for local telephone companies. Over time, most engineering tasks have been added to our list of services. In 2000, Data-Tel became a subsidiary of Michels Corporation, which allowed us to offer a complete product from the initial planning process to construction.
In January of 2005, Data-Tel changed its name to Mi-Tech Services, Inc. (Mi-Tech); as the name indicates Mi-Tech has evolved into a full-service utility and technical service provider. Today, Mi-Tech is one of the largest telecommunication design companies headquartered in the Midwest.
Mi-Tech is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin with branch offices located in Brownsville, Fond du Lac, and New Berlin, Wisconsin. Mi-Tech also has offices in Peoria, AZ, Topeka, KS, Rogers, MN, and Harrisburg, PA, with corporate affiliated offices located in Washington and Canada. Due to our diverse national footprint Mi-Tech can provide services on a national level at a moments notice.
Mi-Tech provides working drawings for the placement of copper and fiber optic cables in aerial, buried and underground formats. Mi-Tech also provides procurement of right-of-way, route selections, coordination with governmental agencies, site plan development and obtaining and recording easements. Mi-Tech also procures the permits required within the scope of the project. Computer aided design (CAD), surveying, and geographic information systems (GIS) services are included in our suite of experience.
