Mi-Tech CAD DivisionCAD Services
Mi-Tech Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) services employs the latest standards, techniques and software available in order to provide our clientele with an up-to-date drawing file library. Specializing in utility infrastructure, whether your needs be accurate mapping of existing plant or creating working maps for new construction, you’ll have a dependable picture of your system at hand.
Our drafting department is well-versed in utility industry standards and will produce quality electronic files from information gathered in the field using layering and standards per your existing specifications or created specifically for your needs. Once in an electronic file format, any changes to construction or as-built information can be easily documented. This is of particular importance as we have witnessed that the emphasis on the “design and build” aspect of our clients’ physical networks can and has pushed their documentation process into the background. Mi-Tech Services can help to ensure that your data is kept up-to-date making future management of your facilities less frustrating and time-consuming.
Should Permit drawings or a traffic control plan need to be submitted, we can deliver a print providing the information as required per municipality. All of our deliverables can be converted to and from numerous file formats (paper, DGN, JGP, DXF, PDF, and TIF) into an editable electronic drawing file.
Georeferenced Maping
Mi-Tech has completed projects combining AutoCad or MicroStation drawings with a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) database chosen by the customer. We utilize many software formats along with survey grade GPS units to provide a precise georeferenced record of your infrastructure. This process puts the infrastructure into a real world coordinate to allow for a seamless transition of the drawing into GIS format. Mi-Tech has recently completed a project for a national telecommunications provider that now allows them to locate their existing facilities in the click of a mouse using Google Earth rather than spend time locating and researching existing hard copy maps.
CAD Software
At Mi-Tech, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the most accurate mapping products available. The mapping software we utilize most often consists of AutoCAD, Microstation and MapInfo with others available upon request. Using this cutting edge technology that is continually updated allows us to maintain our position as a leader of Telecommunication mapping.
